It is dated April 7, 2009. The report begins (U//LES) The DHS/Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) has no specific information that domestic rightwing* terrorists are currently planning acts of violence, but rightwing extremists may be gaining new recruits by playing on their fears about several emergent issues. The economic downturn and the election of the first African American president present unique drivers for rightwing radicalization and recruitment. DHS suggests very strongly that loyal Americans who are opposed to illegal immigration may be plotting terrorist acts. This DHS memo and the Officer Safety Bulletin have SPLC fingerprints all over them. Americans must understand that leftwing extremists aligned with Mexican Reconquistas are using the power of the federal government to label loyal patriots as suspects for government investigation and control.
